Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj Delivers Waterlogging Relief Supplies In Marouli Palwal Phase 2

Marouli village, located in the Hodal block/tehsil of Palwal district, Haryana, has faced persistent severe waterlogging during monsoon rainfalls. Water accumulation affected five major key locations and spanned across 600 acres of agricultural land.

Floodwaters routinely reached depths of 2 to 3 feet in public facilities and residential streets, submerging the village primary school, the local dispensary, and surrounding houses.

The recurrent waterlogging caused significant disruption across multiple sectors in the village:

  • Educational Disruption: Water inundated the primary school grounds and buildings, forcing school authorities to relocate children to alternative locations within the village or suspend classes for months at a time. School staff had to manually relocate and safeguard official school academic records to prevent total destruction.
  • Healthcare Subversion: Water entered the village dispensary, disabling medical distribution services and rendering healthcare delivery inaccessible.
  • Agricultural Losses: Flooding across 600 acres of farmland destroyed standing crops annually. Farmers reported losses amounting to 1,00,000 to 1,50,000 INR per acre per year. Due to prolonged water accumulation and soil salinization, fields remained uncultivable for months, forcing local farmers to seek manual labor jobs in urban areas such as Faridabad.
  • Living Conditions: Villagers reported that the problem persisted for nearly three generations (approximately 50 years). The lack of drainage infrastructure turned pathways muddy and impassable, damaged residential housing structures, and contaminated local water sources, making drinking water unusable.

Inspection, Ground Survey, and Technical Assessment by Survey Team

To find a permanent resolution to the waterlogging crisis, the Marouli gram panchayat submitted a formal petition to Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj at Satlok Ashram Dhanana Dham under the “Kisan Mazdoor Bachao Abhiyan Phase 2”.

Following the submission of the petition, a designated technical survey team was dispatched to Marouli village to conduct an on-site physical inspection.

  • Initial Panchayat Request: The gram panchayat originally petitioned for 10,500 feet of pipe and 5 water pump motors.
  • On-Site Findings: The survey team inspected the primary school pond (johar), the surrounding submersed farmland (600 acres), the dispensary, and the village drainage channels. The team determined that the village did not require 5 separate motor units or lines. Instead, two primary pipelines were sufficient to drain the accumulated water effectively.
  • Technical Pipeline Specifications:
  1. Line 1 (School and Johar Line): Drains water overflowing from the school pond, dispensary area, and residential streets. Required 3,400 meters (11,600 feet) of 8-inch PVC piping connected to a 20 HP water pump motor.
  2. Line 2 (Agricultural Land Line): Drains flooded agricultural fields spanning 600 acres. Required 2,100 meters (7,200 feet) of 8-inch PVC piping connected to a 10 HP water pump motor.
  • Total Survey Assessment: The total requirement approved by the survey team comprised 18,800 feet of 8-inch diameter heavy-duty PVC pipe, one 20 HP motor, one 10 HP motor, and necessary installation hardware.

Dispatch and Official Handover of Relief Supplies to Gram Panchayat

Following the approval of the technical survey report, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj provided 18,800 feet of 8-inch PVC pipeline along with all necessary installation hardware under Phase 2 of the campaign. Trucks carrying the pipeline materials arrived directly in Marouli village.

Itemized Inventory of Distributed Relief Materials

  • Piping: 18,800 feet of 8-inch heavy-duty PVC pipeline.
  • Pumping Equipment: One 20 HP electric water motor and one 10 HP electric water motor (manufactured by Crompton / Kirloskar).
  • Installation Accessories:
  • Air valves (to release pipeline pressure and prevent burst points)
  • Solvent cement / Fevicol
  • Metal plates and flanges
  • Nuts and bolts
  • PVC elbow bands and connecting fittings

The delivery protocol requires the Marouli gram panchayat to lay the 18,800 feet of pipeline underground, test the line with water flow, and install air valves to verify that no leakages exist.

Following completion of the underground installation, the technical survey team will perform a verification audit. Upon official verification of proper pipeline installation, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj will hand over the 20 HP and 10 HP water motors to the village panchayat.

Local Statements and Execution Roadmap

The arrival of the materials was received by Sarpanch Mahesh Kumar, local village elders, teachers, and farmers.

  • Mahesh Kumar (Village Sarpanch): Stated that the village had suffered from severe waterlogging for three generations. He noted that within 24 hours of submitting the petition, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj approved and dispatched 18,800 feet of 8-inch pipe along with hardware. He confirmed that the gram panchayat will complete the underground installation within 15 to 20 days.
  • Raju (Local Resident): Stated that the primary school remained closed for months every rainy season due to severe flooding. He expressed that the relief pipeline permanently resolves the village drainage issues.
  • Ranveer (Local Farmer): Stated that farmers lost 1,00,000 to 1,50,000 INR per acre annually due to crop destruction. Farmers were previously forced to move to Faridabad for wage labor. He noted that Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj provided these supplies directly to restore agricultural viability.
  • Local School Teacher: Confirmed that water levels inside the primary school routinely damaged physical infrastructure and threatened official administrative records. He stated that the drainage line will protect educational operations and student attendance.
  • Village Elders and Farmers: Stated that appeals made over several years to elected representatives (MPs, MLAs) and government officials produced no practical drainage infrastructure. They highlighted that Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj provided all necessary supplies without political motives or election requirements.

Permanent Elimination of Waterlogging and Restoration of Agricultural Productivity in Marouli

Through Phase 2 of the “Kisan Mazdoor Bachao Abhiyan,” Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj provided 18,800 feet of 8-inch heavy-duty PVC piping, two industrial water pump motors (20 HP and 10 HP), and complete installation accessories to Marouli village in Palwal district.

The installation of this underground drainage infrastructure provides a permanent outlet to direct floodwaters into regional drainage canals. This project restores 600 acres of submerged agricultural farmland, protects public infrastructure including the primary school and health dispensary, and eliminates recurring flood damage for the residents of Marouli.
