Villagers stated that the problem continued for nearly 8–10 years, while some residents claimed portions of the area had remained affected for even longer. Farmers said that despite owning agricultural land, they were forced to purchase food grains from the market because cultivation had stopped in many fields.

The impact extended beyond farming. Residents said water had also accumulated near public spaces including schools and Anganwadi centres, affecting children’s education and normal village activities.

Villagers Said Appeals to Authorities Brought No Resolution

According to villagers and Sarpanch Akhtar Hussain, repeated requests were made before administrative officials and government authorities seeking a solution to the crisis. Residents stated that despite multiple appeals, no permanent resolution was provided.

Several villagers interviewed during the ground report said they had gradually lost hope as the stagnant water continued to spread across agricultural land year after year. Some described the situation as a prolonged crisis that left the future of farming families uncertain.

A resident named Khalid from Samadhra village said villagers had also appealed to the government earlier, but no effective action followed. He stated that people in the village never expected that their long-standing problem would be resolved so quickly.

Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj Arranged Flood Relief Support Under Annapurna Muhim

Villagers said the situation began changing after the Gram Panchayat approached the committee of Tatvdarshi Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj seeking assistance. According to residents, the request was accepted immediately after the village representatives explained the condition of the affected farmland.

Under His Annapurna Muhim, Tatvdarshi Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj Ji’s team arranged resources aimed at removing stagnant water from the village fields. Villagers stated that around 8,300 feet of 8-inch pipeline and two 20-horsepower motors were sent to Samadhra to help drain water from submerged agricultural land.

Residents further explained that electricity supply in the village remained limited to around six hours and that three-phase power connectivity was unavailable in the area. After learning about these difficulties, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj directed that generator rental and diesel expenses should also be arranged so the pumping system could continue operating.

The support extended far beyond just major equipment. At a single instruction from Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, His disciples arranged everything required to make the system operational, including starters, cables, elbows, suction pipes, rubber gaskets, adhesives like Fevicol, and even the smallest steel nuts and bolts. As villagers themselves expressed, “We didn’t have to purchase even a single nut from the market to get everything running.”

Villagers also mentioned that around 40 kilograms of Fevicol and multiple steel fittings were provided along with other required material.

Farmers Resume Cultivation Across Previously Waterlogged Fields

Residents said the condition of the village started improving after continuous drainage work was carried out using the supplied equipment. According to villagers, fields that previously contained nearly seven feet of stagnant and foul-smelling water gradually became cultivable again.

Ground visuals shown during the report displayed tractors operating in areas that villagers said had remained barren for years. Residents explained that water had earlier spread up to road levels in some locations.

Farmers estimated that cultivation resumed across nearly 300 bighas of land after water was drained from affected areas. Some villagers stated that around 70 to 100 bighas remained unsown because sowing was delayed.

Villagers repeatedly described the present atmosphere in the village as positive and hopeful. Residents said that after years of uncertainty, green fields had finally returned to areas that once appeared abandoned due to prolonged waterlogging.

During interviews conducted in the village, multiple residents thanked Bakhabar Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj for the assistance provided to Samadhra. Villagers stated that the relief work helped restore agricultural activity and brought relief to farming families dependent on cultivation for survival.

Some residents described the support as timely assistance that helped save both farmland and livelihoods. Others said the effort benefited not only people but also livestock, as agricultural production gradually resumed in the village.

Villagers also expressed that the assistance reached them at a time when they believed no other solution was available for the long-pending problem.
