When floods caused by overflowing rivers and raindrops cross the threshold of a village, they do not only drown crops, but also drown thousands of dreams and hopes. A similar scene was present in Premnagar village of Bhiwani district of Haryana. This story is not only about 5-6 feet deep water, but also about those tears and nights spent in worry. A woman farmer, who had taken land on lease for the bright future of her three daughters, saw all her savings and courage flowing away with the water. The indifference of the administration added salt to the wounds when they clearly said— “Such a big arrangement is beyond our capability.” But it is said that where human efforts stop working, from there divine grace and the blessings of a true Saint begin.

That Period of Helplessness and the Inability of the Administration
The flood devastation was so terrible that about 400-500 acres of Premnagar had submerged under water. Where there should have been greenery in the fields, there only water of destruction was standing. Village sarpanch Rajesh Kumar Ji says that the situation had gone out of control. The first crop (paddy) of hundreds of farmers had been completely destroyed and there was no question of sowing the next crop (wheat). Villagers had completely broken down. When the village panchayat and farmers reached the administration to appeal, they received only disappointment. The administration avoided responsibility by giving the excuse of lack of connectivity and shortage of resources. That period was like a dark tunnel for the village, from where no way out was visible.

When there was darkness everywhere, then the villagers of Premnagar placed their application at the feet of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj with their last hope. Seeing the helplessness of the village and the pain of farmers, Maharaj Ji immediately ordered assistance without any delay. Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj believes that service to humanity is the supreme religion and on His orders not only once, but twice huge relief material was sent to Premnagar. The team of sevadars conducted a survey and ensured that farmers would not have to buy even material worth ₹1 from outside.

The biggest feature of Maharaj Ji’s assistance was that it was not incomplete. Often people provide material but the poor have to wander for small things. Here along with pipes and motors, starter, cable, Fevicol, and even small items like nuts and bolts were also provided free of cost.

Today about two months have passed and the picture of Premnagar has completely changed. The motors provided by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj worked day and night and drove out that ‘stubborn’ water from the fields. Farmer Jaiveer Singh and other youth of the village are extremely excited. The land where there was no hope of sowing, today, wheat crop is flourishing there.
The surprising thing is that farmers say their crop is now standing even better than those higher fields where there was no effect of flood. Sowing has been completed on 100% land of the village. The same pipes and motors which were once being used to remove deadly water are today becoming life-giving nectar for irrigation of wheat.

Today the entire Premnagar village is bowing and thanking Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj. Villagers say that where big religious leaders did not care about them, there a true Saint held their hand like a savior. This was not only with the help of pipes and motors, but an effort to bring back smiles on those thousands of faces which were frightened due to fear of hunger and debt.
The works of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj have proved that service to humanity is the true worship of God. Today every field and every farmer of Premnagar is saying— “He is the God of earth, O human, He makes every difficulty easy.” This historic help has proved that when selfless service and good intention unite, even the biggest disaster turns into prosperity.
