Khedka Gurjar village, located in Badli tehsil of Jhajjar district in Haryana, had been suffering from severe waterlogging for the last 20 to 30 years. Nearly 500 acres of agricultural land remained submerged in water throughout the year. In many areas, dirty and stagnant water stood three to four feet deep, destroying crops and causing huge losses to farmers.
The villagers repeatedly requested help from the administration and local leaders, but no permanent solution was provided. Sometimes small motors were given only as a temporary arrangement, while the main problem continued to grow worse. Gradually, the fertile land started turning barren, and many farmers lost hope of farming again on their own fields.
Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj Extended Timely Support
When the villagers shared their difficulties with Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, He immediately arranged major support for the village. Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj provided five large 15-horsepower motors, around 18,700 feet of 8-inch pipeline, and all the necessary equipment required for water drainage. Most importantly, the villagers were not asked to spend even a single rupee for this work.
As soon as the equipment reached the village, the atmosphere became emotional and joyful. Villagers welcomed the support with tractor processions, and sweets were distributed in the village chaupal. For the farmers, this assistance was not just material support but the return of hope after many years.
Greenery Returned to the Fields
With the help of the motors and pipelines sent by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, the stagnant water was removed rapidly from the fields. Slowly, the land that had remained underwater for years started becoming dry and suitable for farming once again.
Today, green crops can be seen growing in those same fields. Wheat sowing has been completed in most parts of the village, and several farmers have also started cultivating vegetables like tomatoes and radish. Fields where tractors could not enter earlier are now active with farming work.
Villagers Shared Their Experiences
Jagpal Singh (Village Numberdar)
Village Numberdar Jagpal Singh said that just a few months ago, water could be seen everywhere in the village fields. According to him, nearly 80 percent of the land has now been cultivated again due to the support provided by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj. He said that for the first time in many years, the villagers have seen a real solution to this long-standing problem.
Jaiveer Singh (Farmer)
Farmer Jaiveer Singh explained that around 500 acres of land had become unusable because of waterlogging. Despite repeated complaints to officials and leaders, no effective help was received. He said Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj understood the real difficulties of the farmers and provided timely support that helped save the village.
Sucha Singh (Retired Soldier)
Retired soldier Sucha Singh described this help as a blessing for the entire village. He shared that several areas earlier had two to three feet of standing water, but now nearly 90 percent of the water has been drained out. He also mentioned that Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj encouraged the villagers to place the pipeline permanently underground so that the system could be useful in the future as well.
Dharmveer (Farmer)
Farmer Dharmveer became emotional while speaking about the support. He said that only a person filled with humanity and compassion could provide such large help selflessly. According to him, when everyone else had ignored the village’s problems, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj stood beside the farmers as their support.
A New Beginning for the Farmers
The farmers of Khedka Gurjar believe that Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj not only helped remove water from the fields but also saved hundreds of families from financial hardship. The village, which once struggled with flooded farmland, is now moving once again toward prosperity and growth.
Today, Khedka Gurjar has become an example of how selfless service and timely assistance can change the lives of many people. The fields that were once submerged in water are now filled with crops, greenery, and new hope for the future.
