For three long months, the historic town of Sampla in Rohtak district, Haryana, lay in a state of watery ruin. Heavy rains and subsequent flooding had submerged the agricultural fields under four feet of stagnant water. The Kharif crop was completely destroyed, rotting in the submerged fields. But the bigger worry for the farmers was the fast-approaching season for sowing the wheat crop.
Without draining the water, the upcoming season would be a total washout, pushing the farmers into severe debt and possible starvation.
To make matters worse, the floodwaters were not restricted to the fields. The town’s wards and streets were heavily waterlogged, creating a severe breeding ground for diseases. When the Municipal Committee and local farmers approached the administration for help, they received a disheartening reply: “We do not have enough motors and pipes.”
A frustrated farmer remarked, “The government practically drowned us by letting dirty water flow into our fields without any check.”
A Ray of Hope from Satlok Ashram
With the administration turning a blind eye and no industrialists stepping forward, the Municipal Committee representatives and local farmers turned to the ultimate sanctuary, SATGURU Rampal Ji Maharaj ji. They visited the Muninder Dharmarth Trust office working under the guidance of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj ji and submitted an earnest plea, requesting heavy-duty equipment to drain the water from their town.
The response from Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj was not just prompt; it was overwhelming. Understanding the gravity of the situation and the fact that an entire agricultural cycle was at stake, He immediately dispatched a massive relief convoy.
The Relief: Precision and Unmatched Generosity
The convoy that rolled into Sampla carried a permanent and comprehensive solution:

- 6,500 Feet of Pipe: High-quality 8-inch wide pipes to channel the floodwater away from the town.
- Four Heavy-Duty Motors (15 HP each): Powerful enough to pump out millions of liters of water in days.
- Complete Accessories: The support extended far beyond just major equipment. At a single instruction from Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, everything was arranged to make the system operational like starters, cables, elbows, suction pipes, rubber gaskets, adhesives like Fevicol, and even the smallest steel nuts and bolts. As villagers themselves expressed, “We didn’t have to purchase even a single nut from the market to get everything running.”
This equipment was not given on loan. It was declared a permanent gift to the people of Sampla, ensuring they are equipped to handle any such disaster in the future.
A Historic 1.5-Kilometer Tractor Rally Welcome
The arrival of the relief material turned into a grand festival in Sampla. To express their profound gratitude, the farmers and residents organized a 1.5-kilometer-long Tractor Rally. Dozens of tractors, the pride and backbone of the farmers, were decorated with flowers and portraits of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj.
As the convoy passed through the 1.5 km long flyover and the main markets of the town, the air echoed with the beats of Dhol-Nagadas (traditional drums) and devotional songs playing on tractor speakers: “Roti, Kapda, Shiksha, aur Makan; Har Garib ko dega Kabir Bhagwan” (Food, Clothing, Education, and Shelter; God Kabir will provide to every poor). Townspeople lined the streets, capturing this historic, emotional moment on their mobile phones.
Tears of Joy and Voices of Gratitude
The joy on the faces of the farmers was palpable.
- Vijender Numberdar, the Chairman Representative of Sampla, expressed his deep reverence: “I have never seen a Saint who only gives without asking for anything in return. This is not just for farmers; Saint Rampal Ji is working to provide food and shelter to the poorest of the poor.”
- Another farmer emotionally stated: “If this help hadn’t arrived, our 100% crop would have failed. Now, our next crop is 100% safe. We welcome Him not as a Guru, but as God incarnate on earth.”
To honor this divine intervention, the village elders and the Municipal Committee presented a traditional Pagdi (turban) to the Sewadars, symbolizing that they were surrendering their ultimate respect and honor at the feet of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj.
A Promise of Prosperity
The tractors that roared through Sampla were not just machines; they were the voices of thousands of saved farmers. Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj’s “Annapurna Mission” has proven that where governments fail and systems collapse, true spirituality stands up to protect humanity. Today, the water is receding from the fields of Sampla, and in its place, a new crop of hope and immense faith has been sown.
