This report documents the impact of severe flooding in Kharad village, where prolonged waterlogging submerged fields, affected homes, closed schools, and threatened livelihoods. Following this situation, villagers carried their prayers collectively and approached Tatvadarshi Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj Ji, requesting urgent help to protect their village, crops, and homes from the devastating flood conditions.

Key Takeaways: Flood Relief in Kharad Village, Hisar

  • Kharad village faced extensive flooding, submerging farms, homes, schools, and public facilities.
  • Initial relief included six motors and 5,000 feet of 8-inch pipelines, enabling major water drainage.
  • A second phase delivered three additional 10 HP motors and 3,000 feet of 8-inch pipelines.
  • In total, the village received nine motors and 8,000 feet of pipelines, handed over to the gram panchayat with accessories.
  • Residents reported 70–80% water removal after the first phase, with remaining water addressed after the second phase.
  • Clear directives were issued regarding accountability, utilization, documentation, and future assistance.

Flood Impact and Ground Situation in Kharad

Kharad village in Hisar district experienced a severe flood episode that left agricultural land submerged for nearly four weeks in several areas. Residents reported water levels of up to five feet near homes, with waterlogged fields preventing wheat sowing. The disruption extended beyond agriculture, as schools remained closed due to flooding, children could not attend classes, and essential services, including dispensaries, were affected. Livestock losses and fodder shortages compounded the crisis following widespread crop damage.

Despite repeated visits to government offices, villagers stated that no immediate or adequate solution emerged to address large-scale water evacuation. With fields still submerged and the sowing window closing, concerns grew across the 36-community population of the area.

First Phase of Relief: Motors and Pipelines Deployed

After villagers approached Tatvadarshi Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj with prayers for assistance, relief material was arranged under the Annapurna Muhim, through which He had earlier extended help to flood-affected regions. In the first phase, six motors and 5,000 feet of 8-inch pipelines were sent to Kharad village.

Residents confirmed that the deployment of this equipment enabled the drainage of approximately 70–80% of the stagnant water. Farmers stated that without these motors and pipelines, wheat sowing would not have been possible at all. The initial intervention provided temporary relief, but a significant portion of water, estimated at around 20% remained in low-lying areas.

Second Phase of Assistance and Expanded Support

Considering the scale of the problem, villagers submitted a second request. In response, a relief convoy reached Kharad again with additional resources. This time, three motors of 10 horsepower capacity and 3,000 feet of 8-inch pipelines were delivered.

With this second phase, the village’s total relief inventory reached:

  • Motors: 9 units
  • Pipelines: 8,000 feet (8-inch diameter)

All materials, including nuts, bolts, and accessories, were formally handed over to the gram panchayat in the presence of villagers. Tractors carrying pipeline loads entered the village in a structured convoy after ceremonial proceedings, and the equipment was placed under local supervision for immediate use.

Water Evacuation Progress and Agricultural Outlook

Villagers reported visible results following the second phase. Areas that were previously waterlogged were described as nearly dry, with only residual water remaining near specific road sections. Farmers stated that wheat sowing had become feasible again and that the remaining water was expected to drain fully with the additional equipment.

Several residents confirmed that prolonged water stagnation, lasting 27 to 28 days in some locations, had posed a serious risk to crops and housing. With improved drainage, farmers expressed hope that both current and future harvests would be safeguarded.

Community Responses and On-Ground Statements

During on-site interactions, multiple villagers, including farmers, women, and elders, spoke about the impact of the relief. They described the assistance as timely and decisive, particularly when no compensation or material support had been received for crop losses through other channels.

Residents emphasized that the motors and pipelines were not taken back and could be reused whenever heavy rainfall occurred. Villagers were advised to bury the pipelines underground for long-term use, allowing immediate water evacuation during future rains and creating a permanent solution to flooding.

Accountability Measures and Documentation

Clear instructions accompanied the relief effort. The gram panchayat and villagers were informed that:

  • Water must be fully drained within the stipulated time.
  • Wheat sowing must be completed using the provided resources.
  • Drone footage documenting the flooded condition had already been recorded.
  • Additional videos would be made after drainage and during crop growth.

These recordings were intended to be shown at future gatherings across multiple locations to demonstrate transparency and ensure that donated resources were used strictly for public benefit.

Directive on Future Assistance

A formal directive was communicated stating that if the provided materials were not used effectively and water remained stagnant, no further assistance would be extended in the future. Conversely, villagers were informed that if more equipment was required, it could be requested without hesitation, provided the responsibility of proper utilization was upheld.

Tatvadarshi Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj Ji, who belongs to a farming background, was described by residents as understanding agricultural hardship and the urgency of timely intervention during natural disasters.

Service, Discipline, and Responsibility

According to the sacred directive of Tatvadarshi Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj Ji, every village that receives assistance must ensure that relief materials, such as motors and pipelines, are used effectively so that no farmer’s field remains flooded and the next crop can be sown on time. His order clearly states that even if additional resources are required, they should be requested without hesitation, but stagnant water must not remain under any circumstance. He blessed the villagers, stating that this aid should become a permanent solution, a gift from Supreme God Kabir Ji through His grace. He also instructed that improper utilization would result in future assistance being withheld, underscoring accountability, discipline, and timely service to humanity.
