Bhatla village, falling under Hansi Tehsil (currently a district) of Hisar District in Haryana, had been facing the brunt of a natural disaster for the past two months. After incessant rainfall, water accumulated in the fields up to two to three feet (0.6–0.9 metres), breaking the backbone of farmers. The situation was so severe that around 400 acres of fertile land were submerged, casting a shadow over the sowing of the Rabi crop (wheat). When expectations from the administrative machinery and government assistance began to fade, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj emerged as a lifeline for the village.

Administrative Failure and the Appeal of Bhatla Panchayat
Villagers and Sarpanch Sunil Berwal, known locally as “Seelu Fauji,” stated that they had repeatedly appealed to the district administration. Citing a lack of resources, the administration had effectively withdrawn support. Water was flowing over roads, completely disrupting movement. Fodder crops (sorghum) for livestock were destroyed, and children could not attend school. In this atmosphere of despair, the Gram Panchayat approached Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj at the Barwala office, placing a prayer for assistance at His feet.
Annapurna Muhim: A Miracle Like Making Mustard Turn Green on the Palm
Senior Citizens of Bhatla described Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj’s working style as “making mustard turn green on the palm,” an idiom meaning accomplishing the impossible in an extremely short time. Sarpanch Sunil expressed amazement that where government files take weeks to move from one desk to another, the village’s prayer was sent the day before yesterday, and today relief material worth millions of rupees was standing in the village chaupal. This swift action was no less than a miracle, restoring lost smiles on farmers’ faces.
Detailed Relief Material and Technical Support
Assistance sent by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj was not symbolic but fully solution-oriented. The relief convoy included the following essential equipment:

Pipeline: A total of 9,000 feet (approximately 2,743 metres) of heavy 8-inch pipeline to drain water over long distances.
Pump sets (motors): Three high-capacity motors, including two of 10 HP and one of 7.5 HP.
Supporting equipment: Starters, cables, and all necessary accessories required to operate the motors and connect pipelines.
Volunteers clarified that this equipment would remain in the village until the last drop of water was drained from the fields.
Strict Instructions: Commitment to Accountability Along with Service
While handing over the relief material, a special message from Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj was read aloud. It clearly stated that the Trust not only provides aid but also monitors its proper utilisation. Volunteers informed that drone videography of the village’s current condition had already been completed.

Further videos would be made after water drainage and crop revival. This transparency ensures donors’ confidence that their money is being used for genuine humanitarian service. Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj’s strict instruction is that if sowing does not take place even after this assistance, no future help will be provided.
Voices of the Villagers: “Not a Saint, God Himself”
Bhatla residents Karmveer and Kuldeep Singh emotionally stated that in an era where so-called preachers take millions merely to deliver sermons, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj is serving selflessly without political interest or desire for votes. Villagers said that farmers are the nation’s food providers, and only when their hearths burn will labourers be fed. An elderly villager remarked that just as one who takes a patient to hospital is considered a form of God, similarly Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, who saved their drowning crops, is for them the very manifestation of God Kabir Himself.
Memento and Gratitude: A Historic Moment
At a programme held in the main village chaupal, Sarpanch Sunil Berwal and the entire Panchayat presented a special photo-frame memento to Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj’s team, bearing a message of gratitude from the village. The Sarpanch acknowledged that without this help, farmers would have been pushed back economically by several years.
Raising slogans, villagers stated that Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj’s Annapurna Muhim is being successfully implemented in more than 300 villages across Haryana, serving as an outstanding example of nation-building and social service.
Conclusion: The Highest Path of Humanity
This incident in Bhatla village proves that when governmental systems begin to show limitations, spiritual and service-oriented institutions become society’s true support. Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj has undertaken this relief work as a mission. The water draining from Bhatla’s fields will not only save crops but also strengthen faith in society that service to humanity is the greatest religion.
