Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj Provides Major Relief to Flood-Affected Farmers in Meham Municipal Area, Haryana

The Meham municipal area of Rohtak district, Haryana, witnessed devastating floods that washed away years of hard work by local farmers. Continuous heavy rainfall combined with inadequate drainage systems resulted in over 400 acres of land remaining submerged. Water levels in the fields rose to two to two-and-a-half feet, destroying standing crops and nearly eliminating the prospects for the next sowing season.

According to local residents, water stagnated in the fields for several days without any effective pumping arrangements. Farmers around Meham faced not only crop losses but also livestock crises. With little to no assistance from the government or administration, hope among farmers began to fade, prompting them to seek help on their own.

Farmers Appeal to Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj for Help

After discussions among themselves, farmers from Ward No. 1 of Meham decided to seek assistance from Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj’s Satlok Ashram. On October 9, a delegation led by former councillor Mr. Subhash visited the ashram to submit a written appeal for support.

The application clearly stated that in order to save their fields and prepare for re-sowing, the farmers urgently required 22,000 feet of pipes, four 10 HP motors, and related electrical cables, starters, and fittings. The farmers also mentioned that the prolonged waterlogging had left them in severe financial distress and that timely assistance was their only hope for recovery.

Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj responded to the appeal with deep concern and promptly directed immediate action. Within just three days, on October 11, large trucks carrying the required relief materials reached Meham’s Ward No. 1.

• 22,000 feet of high quality pipes (8-inch diameter)
• Starters, cables, fix valves, nuts, bolts, and other necessary fittings
• Special safety gear for motor operation

All equipment was carefully packed to prevent damage during transportation. Farmers were astonished at the speed and scale of the assistance, realizing that such a large consignment was organized and dispatched within mere days.

Farmers’ Emotional Reactions and On-Ground Service

The farmers’ waterlogged fields had completely decayed crops. Following Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj’s instructions, His followers personally arrived in Meham with the materials, offering prayers before beginning their service. They actively participated in installation and technical guidance to ensure the proper setup of motors and pipes.

Overwhelmed with gratitude, the farmers said that while government assistance never arrived despite repeated appeals, Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj heard their prayers and resolved their crisis. Therefore, everyone should come forward and extend a helping hand in such situations.

Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj also remarked that religious preachers who earn lakhs of rupees from each discourse should step forward to help the farmers so that the welfare of society can truly be achieved. There is no greater act of virtue than helping the farmers, which Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj is performing wholeheartedly.

These motors and pipes have been donated permanently to the village by Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj, so that in the future, if such a situation arises again, the farmers will be able to help themselves. Furthermore, if there is any other need in the future, they can humbly place their request before Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj, and their assistance will be arranged in the same compassionate manner.

A video of the waterlogged fields has already been recorded; after the water has been drained, a second video will be made, and after the sowing, a third video showing the flourishing crops will be created and shown in the ashrams, so that the devotees may gain even stronger faith.

The aid has rekindled optimism among the disheartened farmers of Meham. With drainage operations underway, agricultural work has resumed. Farmers are now preparing for the Rabi season, as once-flooded lands begin to dry and regain fertility. Locals believe that without this timely support, both current and future harvests would have been lost.

Now, the situation is improving steadily, and farmers are regaining self-reliance, ready to sow their wheat crops once again.
