About THDCIL

Tehri Hydro Development Corporation India Limited (THDCIL), a Schedule ‘A’ Mini Ratna Government PSU operates under Government of India (GOI) since its registration in July 1988 under Companies Act, 1956. The PSU has an authorised share capital of INR 4000 crores and paid up capital of INR 3665.88 crores in September, 2024, with a combined net worth of INR 10546.88 crores as on 31st March 2024. It is a profit making venture since the first year of operation of its first commercial project Tehri HPP (1000 MW) in 2006-07.

THDCIL was initiated only to manage 2400 MW Tehri Hydro Power Plant Complex and other Hydro projects but as the time went by it has expanded its scope of work into other forms of energy as well. At present, THDCIL has 6 Power Plants and 1 Coal Mine under operation with a total capacity of 1587 MW and 5.6 MTPA. It includes 1424 MW hydro, 113 MW wind and 50 MW solar power generation.

The Corporation has 4 projects under construction with a combined capacity of 2775 MW including Tehri PSP (1000 MW), Vishnugad Pipalkoti HEP (444 MW), Khurja STPP (1320 MW), and an 11 MW floating solar project at Khurja STPP. THDC Recruitment 2025: The detailed post wise eligibility criteria of the official notification is mentioned in the tabular form in the official notification. However, candidates are advised to keep following points in mind as an eligibility criteria:

• All the qualification criteria (Xth, XIIth and essential qualification) should be full time and regular from an Indian University recognised under AICTE.

• Candidates acquiring 59.99% in any field shall not be rounded off and shall not be considered equivalent to 60%.

• Candidates from Private Sector experience background shall submit Form 16 of ITR of the previous financial year (2023-24).

• Step 1: Candidate should verify the mobile number by entering the received OTP and click Submit to receive UserID and password on their mobile number.

• Step 2: The next step is filling up the qualification details, test city, declaration details and submit to proceed for the next step.

• Step 3: Candidates are advised to upload all the required documents including photo signature, education qualification certificate, caste certificate, ex-servicemen discharge certificate, etc.

• Step 4: After completion of above steps, candidates are advised to pay the required fee through the payment gateway.

Selection Process for THDCIL Recruitment

1. As per the official notification, if the number of applicants meeting the eligibility criteria is less than 50 in any post code, the selection process for that post code shall comprise of Personal Interview (PI) only. Candidates need to qualify it for further consideration. The details of the qualifying marks and weightage of personal interview are tabled below:

If the number of applicants meeting the eligibility criteria is more than 50 in any post code, the selection process for that post code shall comprise of Written/Computer Based Test and Personal Interview. The shortlisting of candidates for personal interview is based on the marks of computer based tests.

The final merit shall consist of 75% weightage (150 marks) of the written test and 25% weightage (50 marks) of the Personal Interview. The category wise qualifying marks for computer based test is tabled below:

THDCIL Recruitment 2025 Registration Fee

• INR 600/- : For the candidates belonging to UR/EWS/OBC category through online mode.  

• No Fee: The candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ PwBDs/ Ex-Servicemen/ Departmental candidates/ Candidates belonging to Doob Kshetra/ Project Affected Area Families of THDC Projects are entitled to pay no fee for filling the application form.
