In Shahpur village, located in Haryana’s Hisar district, the recent devastating floods created an unprecedented crisis for farmers. The village was trapped in a “maze of waterlogging” on three sides, with 4 to 6 feet (1.2 to 1.8 metres) of water inundating the fields, extinguishing all hope for the next (wheat) crop. In this desperate situation, the village council, led by the Sarpanch, turned in their final plea for help to Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj.
They personally went to Barwala and submitted a written request. As a result, they received immediate requested assistance — and not just temporary relief, but a permanent solution. This aid was provided under Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj’s nationwide ‘Annapurna Muhim’, which has become a pillar of hope for suffering humanity.
The Devastating Trap: Crisis of Life and Livelihood
The waterlogging in Shahpur was severe. Due to the accumulation of excess water, the farmlands had turned into massive ponds. Not only were the standing crops destroyed, but uncertainty loomed over the sowing of the next crop as well. According to the Sarpanch, the problem had worsened along three sides of the village, primarily due to canal overflow and seepage.
The crisis extended beyond crops — homes were flooded, fodder for livestock had run out, and even dispensaries and schools had been forced to close due to submersion. This had become a matter of survival for people of all 36 communities living there. When the local administration and departments failed to respond, the entire panchayat decided to seek refuge under Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj’s guidance.
The Plea at Barwala and Immediate Assistance in Two Days
In their moment of distress, the village panchayat of Shahpur, led by the Sarpanch, visited the trust office at Barwala to personally request Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj for help. In their letter, they mentioned the need for three large 20-horsepower (HP) motors and 200 feet (61 metres) of pipe to drain the stagnant water. They had little hope of receiving help so swiftly — yet upon receiving their appeal, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj immediately directed His followers to take action.

It felt like a dream come true. Within just two to four days, a large team of His volunteers, following the instructions of Sant Rampal Ji, reached Shahpur with all the necessary relief materials. The panchayat members described this rapid response as nothing short of a miracle.

The list of flood-relief services is already long. Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj has clearly instructed His followers: “We must not perform for public shows; we must serve practically on the ground.” Over 200 villages have already received assistance under His guidance — and the relief efforts continue without pause.
More than Requested: A Permanent Blessing
The relief materials provided by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj were not only exactly what the villagers had asked for but even more generous and of superior quality. The equipment included:
- Three (3) large 20-horsepower (HP) motors
- 200 feet (61 metres) of 8-inch high-quality pipes
- Three starters
- Cables
- Complete valve sets (valves, pads)
- Nozzles
- Net-bolts and other essential tools (such as slowchains)
His volunteers told the villagers that these motors and pipes were “a blessing” for them — a permanent solution to their flood problem. They were instructed to install the system underground so that in the future, even if heavy rains occur again, the drainage could begin immediately, ensuring long-term protection from flooding.

The Guru’s Strict Directives and the Transparency of ‘Annapurna Muhim’
While handing over the materials, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj also sent a “Special Letter of Instruction” to the village panchayat. It contained clear directions: the villagers must work together and drain the water as soon as possible so that wheat sowing can begin on time. If they fail to do so and miss the sowing season, their village would not be eligible for future assistance from His trust during similar disasters.

This condition was established to ensure transparency and proper use of donated funds. Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj also instructed His volunteers to document the progress in three stages:
- First video: Captured by drone while the village was still waterlogged.
- Second video: To be recorded immediately after the water is drained.
- Third video: To be recorded when the wheat crops begin to grow.
These three videos will later be shown on projectors during congregations in the ashrams — to assure devotees that their donations are never misused, and that their contributions have truly helped more than 200 flood-affected villages receive a new lease of life.
The Messiah of Farmers and the Supreme Example of Selfless Service
This entire episode clearly demonstrates that Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, Himself born into a farmer’s family, deeply understands the pain of farmers and all 36 communities. Through His service under the ‘Annapurna Muhim’, He has performed one of the greatest acts of righteousness by uplifting the distressed farmers. The villagers, filled with emotion, expressed their heartfelt gratitude, saying that despite appealing to the government, no help ever came — but Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj rekindled their hope in just four days.
While some so-called preachers charge lakhs of rupees and misuse donations, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj utilises every single penny of donated funds purely for public welfare and spiritual service. Through His noble deeds, countless lives are being transformed. He has shown society that in times of natural disaster, religious institutions must also rise with genuine action.
For Shahpur village, this assistance is not merely a means to drain floodwater — it is the seed that has sown a new harvest of hope in their once-dry hearts.
