For the last 20 days, Gyanpura village in Hisar district had been drowning under floodwaters. Crops worth lakhs were destroyed, homes were filled with water, livestock faced fodder shortages, and schools had shut down. Exhausted villagers, led by their Sarpanch Manjeet Singh, had run from the Deputy Commissioner’s office to the Tehsildar’s, but returned each time with nothing but promises.
Just when despair seemed endless, a new dawn appeared. Followers of Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj, under His Annapurna Muhim (a campaign dedicated to relief work), delivered aid worth crores to the village in less than 24 hours. Villagers, overwhelmed by this swift response, called Saint Rampal Ji “a form of God”.
From Desperation to Divine Intervention
Manjeet Singh, in a last attempt, reached Barwala and handed over a written plea describing the village’s plight. To his astonishment, the request was approved by Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj within just an hour and a half. According to Ashram volunteers, Guruji personally sanctioned immediate action.

Aid Delivered in Record Time
Even before the Sarpanch left, he was informed that the relief had been approved. Within 24 hours, a convoy of trucks reached Gyanpura with high-quality flood relief equipment. Volunteers said factory owners were given strict instructions that pipes must not burst or leak under pressure, and motors must be from trusted brands like Kirloskar.
The aid included:
- 20,000 feet of 8-inch pipes
- Five heavy 20 HP Kirloskar motors
- 1,600 feet of cable
- Five large starters, valves, clips, pipe adhesive and other technical equipment
Villagers were stunned by this speed. An emotional Sarpanch Manjeet Singh said,
“We had been pleading for 20 days without results. Saint Rampal Ji heard us in 24 hours. For us, He is greater than God.”
Relief Beyond Gyanpura
The relief efforts were not limited to one village. Following Saint Rampal Ji’s directive, massive aid was delivered to several flood-hit villages across Haryana:
- Sindhad: 20,000 feet of 8-inch pipes, four 15 HP motors, 10,500 feet of cable
- Bithmara: 40,000 feet of pipes (15,000 feet of 10-inch and 25,000 feet of 8-inch), six 20 HP motors, 1,000 feet of cable
- Biana Khera: 15,400 feet of 8-inch pipes, four 15 HP motors
- Surewala: 9,000 feet of 8-inch pipes, two 20 HP motors, 500 feet of cable
- Nehla (Fatehabad): 15,400 feet of 8-inch pipes, one 15 HP and one 20 HP motor, 600 feet of cable, two submersible pumps for drinking water
- Khanpur (Hisar): 12,000 feet of 8-inch pipes, five 15 HP motors
- Sarsod (Hisar): 3,500 feet of 8-inch pipes, four 20 HP motors
- Khedar (Hisar): 44,000 feet of 8-inch pipes, five 15 HP motors
- Dhani Premnagar (Hisar): 4,500 feet of 8-inch pipes, one 10 HP motor
In another case, at Matrashyam village where 150 families were submerged, the Trust delivered ration kits to 48 families at 1:30 am, immediately after receiving a call. Relief has also been extended to Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Jammu & Kashmir.
Responsibility Along with Aid
Along with the relief material, the Trust handed over a written note to the Gyanpura Panchayat. It stated that villagers must ensure water is drained within the given time so the next crop can be sown on schedule.
The note also read: “If more equipment is required, request without hesitation. No matter how much is needed, the village must be freed from water.”
Villagers Call It a Miracle
Villagers expressed deep gratitude, calling the aid a miracle. Harpal, a resident, said: “We were running after officials for 15–20 days. Nothing happened. Yesterday we applied, today the material reached our homes. Even one’s own son cannot do this much.”
Another villager, Vikas, added: “We had only heard of God’s miracles. Today we saw one. Saint Rampal Ji is God for us. By saving our next crop, He has given us life again.”
The former Sarpanch said, “The administration could not do in 15 days what He did in a day. May God give Him a long life.”
Villagers estimate that just in Gyanpura, material worth about 50 lakh rupees was distributed, and in other villages, even more. The entire community has now united to drain the fields quickly to live up to the faith shown by Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj.
