When the administration and local governments failed to resolve the severe waterlogging problem, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj responded to the village’s plea. Within just three days, relief materials worth several million rupees arrived, restoring smiles on faces long burdened by distress.
The Irony of Development: When Ladrawan Village Turned into a Lake
Historically, the geographical location and drainage system of Ladrawan village depended on the Mungespur drain of Delhi. According to former Sarpanch Ramkishan, earlier rainwater naturally flowed out through the slope.
However, the rapid increase in brick kilns in the area led to large-scale soil excavation. This disturbed land levels, completely blocking natural drainage routes. As a result, rainwater accumulated in fields, streets, schools, and the dispensary.
The entire village turned into a lake.
- Crops were destroyed
- Fodder scarcity affected livestock
- Children’s education came to a halt
Villagers repeatedly approached the administration, but paperwork and technical delays ensured the village remained submerged.
Administrative Failure and Spiritual Support: Resolution in Three Days
After the government machinery gave up, villagers decided to approach the court of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj. Retired Delhi Police ASI Pawan Kumar stated that despite months of visits to government offices and large corporations, no solution emerged.
In contrast, within three days of prayer at the Ashram of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, visible action began on the ground. For villagers, it felt nothing short of a miracle that where files, budgets, and tenders stagnate, a Saint acted swiftly and without any self-interest.
Relief Material under Annapurna Muhim: Major Economic Support
Under the guidance of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, the team of volunteers conducted a detailed survey and immediately arranged heavy resources considering the severity of the problem.
Relief materials provided:
- 12,500 feet (3,810 metres) long pipeline, 8 inches wide
- Two 15 HP motors
- Two 10 HP motors
- Starters, suction pipes, and all necessary accessories
All materials and transportation were provided completely free of cost. The current Sarpanch and villagers acknowledged that the value of this support ran into several million rupees, impossible for the Gram Panchayat to afford. Volunteers conveyed Sant Ji’s clear instruction that no farmer or labourer should suffer due to lack of resources.
A Festive Atmosphere in the Village: Grand Welcome with Drums and Flowers
When trucks loaded with relief materials reached the boundary of Ladrawan village, the scene resembled a festival. Tractors with DJs, devotional songs praising Sant Ji, and showers of flowers filled the roads.
Village elders and the Sarpanch presented a turban and a memento in honour of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, considering the turban as their highest symbol of respect. The moment was deeply emotional as people of all ages hailed Sant Ji as a manifestation of God and expressed reverence.
Discipline and Transparency: Drone Monitoring and Clear Conditions
The Annapurna Muhim of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj is not limited to charity but is highly disciplined and result-oriented. Volunteers handed a strict written message from Sant Ji to the Gram Panchayat.

The directive stated that the provided materials must be used immediately to drain water so that the next crop could be sown on time. Any negligence would result in no future assistance from the trust.
To ensure transparency, the organisation decided on three stages of videography:
- Current flooded condition of the village using drones
- Condition after water drainage
- Stage when crops flourish in the fields
These videos will be shown during Sant Ji’s congregations so donors remain assured that their contributions are utilised purely for public welfare.
Villagers’ Response: “Such Service Is Beyond Even for the Government”
Former Sarpanch Ramkishan and village elders stated clearly that they had never witnessed such service in their lifetime. They remarked that many leaders and preachers collect donations worth millions, yet fail to help during crises.
In contrast, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj works selflessly for all 36 communities without political ambition. Villagers emphasised that Sant Ji belongs to a farming family Himself, which is why He understands farmers’ pain deeply. They advised other religious institutions to move beyond sermons and engage in real ground-level service.
Human Service as Supreme Duty: Ongoing Service in Over 300 Villages
The Annapurna Muhim of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj is not limited to Ladrawan. So far, similar relief has reached over 300 flood-affected villages across Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh.
The mission’s objective is clear: no citizen should suffer due to hunger, lack of medical care, or absence of essential resources. This initiative stands completely above politics and is rooted purely in humanity and selfless service.
Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj as a Guardian of Humanity
The story of Ladrawan village is not merely about pipes and motors. It is a testament to unwavering faith, selfless service, and effective leadership. Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj has demonstrated that with pure intent and collective effort, even the greatest disasters can be overcome.
Today, the entire village of Ladrawan bows in gratitude for His compassion, with renewed hope that their fields will soon turn green once again.
