This story of Kira village of Nuh district of Haryana is of that long darkness which had been shadowing the lives of the farmers here for the past eight to ten years. Even though there were fields, farming had become impossible. About 80 percent of the agricultural land of the village had become barren. The situation was so severe that farmers were forced to buy from the market the grain that was grown in their own village. Hard work, hope, and self-respect—all three seemed to have been flooded with water.

Farmers’ Last Hope After Being Disappointed by Government Doors
The farmers of Kira village kept knocking on every possible door for years. Administration, schemes, and assurances were received, but the water did not recede from the land. Time passed, losses kept increasing, and farmers began to completely break down. When no ray of relief was visible from anywhere, the villagers placed their pain at the feet of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj through a prayer letter. This prayer was not only for assistance, but was a cry for the existence of the entire village.
Immediate Action Started as soon as the Prayer was Accepted
The villagers themselves could not believe their eyes when the answer to their prayer started appearing on the ground within three to four days. On the order of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, a convoy filled with relief material was dispatched towards Kira village. One villager said emotionally that he saw a dream at night and in the morning that dream came true. The fruit of years of waiting was received in just a few days.

Historic Relief Material Sent for Kira Village

To provide permanent freedom from waterlogging to Kira village, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj sent six 7 HP motors and a 10,000-foot-long 8-inch pipeline. This assistance was not limited only to motors and pipes. Along with the motors, starters, nut-bolts, and all necessary accessories were also sent, so that the villagers would not have to make any additional arrangement or expense. The most important thing was that all this material was unloaded right in the middle of the village while sitting at home, without any rent or cost.

Relief Convoy Reached the Village, Atmosphere Changed
As soon as the relief material reached the boundary of the village, the atmosphere of Kira village completely changed. With a long convoy of tractors, DJs, and garlands of flowers, the villagers welcomed this assistance. Elderly people, women, children—after years, happiness was visible on every face. An atmosphere of celebration was created in the village, as if there was a wedding in a house. This welcome was not of any formal program, but of that trust and gratitude which arose from true help received after years of suffering.
Role and Accountability of the Gram Panchayat
As soon as the relief material was received, the gram panchayat made it clear that it would be used with complete honesty and responsibility. Panchayat representatives assured that the work of laying the pipeline and running the motors would be started immediately, so that water could be removed from the fields as soon as possible. Villagers also resolved that full utilization of the assistance given would be ensured and sowing of the coming crop would be carried out.
Reaction of Farmers: A New Beginning of Hope
Farmers said in one voice that they had never seen such fast and effective assistance in their lives before. Where no solution was found even in years, there relief reached within a few days with one order of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj. Many farmers said that now they have confidence that sowing of the next crop will be possible and they will not have to face the compulsion of buying grain again. This relief is not just a facility for them, but the first step towards self-reliance.
A Big Step Towards a Permanent Solution
The 10,000-foot pipeline will be laid permanently in the village, so that water can be drained whenever a waterlogging situation arises in the future. Farmers believe that now rain will not remain a curse for them. With this arrangement, not only the present crisis will be resolved, but in the coming years farming will get stability and security.
Message of Discipline and Responsibility Along with Service
Along with this entire process, the clear message of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj emerged that service is meaningful only when it is used correctly and results are visible. The villagers were also given the responsibility that they drain the water on time and ensure sowing of the crop. This approach shows that charity is not just about giving, but about making society self-reliant.
Story of Kira village: From Darkness to Light
This story of Kira village is not just of 10,000 feet of pipeline and six motors. It is the story of that trust which gave new light to a village submerged in darkness for years. It is the story of that hope which gave farmers the courage to reconnect with their fields again. Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj did not just remove Kira village from water, but gave them the belief that when intention is pure and the objective is humanity, then even years of darkness can turn into light within just a few days.
