Three Decades of Distress and Administrative Failure
For the farmers of Khedka Gurjar, the past 20–30 years were no less than a prolonged crisis. Nearly 500 acres of agricultural land remained permanently waterlogged. According to villagers, crops were destroyed year after year, severely damaging the local economic structure. Rural journalist and social worker Jaiveer Singh stated that repeated appeals were made to the district administration, the Deputy Commissioner and elected representatives, but the outcomes remained disappointing. The government provided only one or two small pumps, which proved entirely inadequate for draining water from 500 acres of land.
Humanitarian Intervention by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj
When no assistance was received through administrative channels, the village panchayat and senior residents submitted a written request at the court of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj.
Coming from a farming background Himself, He immediately understood the farmers’ distress and ordered urgent relief. Following His instructions, all necessary technical and mechanical equipment required for drainage was supplied free of cost.
Precise Details of Relief Material and Technical Strength
The assistance provided under Annapurna Muhim was not only extensive but also technically robust to ensure uninterrupted drainage operations. The exact details of the distributed material are as follows:
- Pipeline: A total of 18,700 feet of 8-inch pipeline was provided.
- Pump Sets: Five high-capacity pumps of 15 horsepower each were supplied.
- Additional Equipment: Supporting materials such as nuts, bolts and fittings were also included, ensuring villagers needed to purchase nothing externally.

This support was not temporary relief. Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj gifted the entire infrastructure permanently to the village, enabling residents to manage any future waterlogging independently.
A Victory-Like Atmosphere and “Double Diwali”
As trucks loaded with pipelines and heavy motors arrived in Khedka Gurjar, villagers organised a grand reception. Even at night, tractors formed convoys to welcome the equipment. Sweets such as laddoos and jalebis were distributed at the village chaupal. Villagers remarked that while many storytellers leave after collecting large sums, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj dedicated resources worth crores selflessly for social service.

Economic and Social Impact Analysis
According to journalist Jaiveer Singh, failure to sow wheat this season would have resulted in a direct loss of at least ₹3 crore. Given the agriculture-based economy, the impact would have extended beyond farmers to labourers, shopkeepers and local traders. This intervention prevented the collapse of the entire economic chain. Water removal pathways were also cleared from schools and dispensaries, enabling the restoration of education and healthcare services.
Strict Directives and Transparency from Satlok Ashram
While handing over the equipment, sewadars conveyed a special message and directive from Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, clearly stating that proper utilisation of donated funds was mandatory.
- Sowing Deadline: If water was not drained and crops were not sown within the stipulated time, no future assistance would be provided.
- Video Documentation: Drone footage of the current condition has been recorded. Subsequent videos showing drained fields and flourishing crops will also be produced and shown during Satlok Ashram congregations to demonstrate how many families benefited from donations.
- Collective Responsibility: The work serves the interests of the entire 36-community group, requiring collective labour and participation.
Presentation of Turban as Honour
The village panchayat and elders expressed gratitude by presenting Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj with Haryana’s highest traditional honour, the turban. A commemorative memento was also sent to Him through sewadars. Villagers pledged to work day and night to remove the water completely and ensure successful sowing of the next crop.
This incident demonstrated that when administrative systems fail, genuine saints and humanitarian initiatives like Annapurna Muhim act as a lifeline for society. The success story of Khedka Gurjar has now become an inspiration for other flood-affected regions. Through Annapurna Muhim, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj has already delivered similar assistance to more than 400 villages, and the service continues uninterrupted.
