Mathura, Uttar Pradesh – For farmers of Nagla Sabla and Nagla Shera villages in the Govardhan tehsil of Mathura district, the rainy season had long been a period of distress rather than relief. Around 1000 acres of fertile land would get submerged in water every year, gradually turning the area into a permanent lake. As a result, farmers’ hard work and hopes were washed away annually, and their financial condition kept deteriorating.
A Problem Faced for Generations
According to village elders, this issue has persisted since the time of their forefathers. As soon as the monsoon season began, an atmosphere of anxiety and despair would grip farming families, as they already knew their crops would be destroyed by waterlogging. This continuous loss not only affected their income but also weakened their morale over time.
Government Efforts Failed to Deliver a Solution
Villagers approached authorities and public representatives multiple times over the years. Despite repeated visits to government offices, they received only assurances and no concrete solution. Eventually, the issue was considered too complex, and the system practically gave up addressing it.
A New Ray of Hope from Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj
When all efforts failed, villagers turned to Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj and submitted a request for help. Their plea was accepted, and within a short time, relief materials were delivered to the villages. According to locals, the speed of assistance gave them hope that their long-standing problem could finally be solved.
Large-Scale Assistance Provided

To resolve the issue, extensive resources were provided. For Nagla Sabla village, around 4000 feet of 8-inch pipes, two 15 HP motors, and 10,150 feet of cables were supplied. For Nagla Shera village, approximately 700 feet of pipes, two additional 15 HP motors, and 600 feet of cables were delivered.
In addition, automatic starters, clamps, fittings, and all necessary components were included so that the system could be installed and operated smoothly without any delay.
Relief Brings Transformation in Govardhan Farmers’ Lives
With this system now in place, a permanent solution for draining water from the fields has been established. Land that remained unusable for years is now showing potential for cultivation again. Farmers are motivated and hopeful that their fields will soon be productive once more.
Sustainable Relief Under Annapurna Mission
This initiative is part of the “Annapurna Mission” led by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, which aims not just to provide temporary relief but to create permanent solutions for farmers.
Such efforts are not only resolving waterlogging problems but also empowering farmers to become self-reliant and move toward a more secure and prosperous future
