Sukhbir Singh Badal News : On wednesday morning, at around 9 AM, a man named Narain Singh Chaura, opened fire at Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Sukhbir Singh Badal. Because people around Sukhbir Singh Badal timely manhandled the shooter and consequently his shot missed the target and went on to hit the wall. The swift action by people around Sukhbir Singh Badal, saved his life today.

Sukhbir Singh Badal News : The incident happened when Sukhbir Singh Badal was serving his religious punishment at the Golden Temple, Amritsar. This punishment was announced two days ago by Akal Takht to Sukhbir Singh Badal and other Akali leaders for their mistakes during their governance in Punjab from 2007 to 2017. He is seen sitting on a chair at the gate of Golden Temple, as a gatekeeper, in the dress of a sewadar, with a fractured leg.
Who is Narain Singh Chaura
Sukhbir Singh Badal News : Narain Singh Chaura, the accused whose assassination attempt was foiled by people standing alongside Sukhbir Singh Badal. He was arrested on the spot by the police administration. Narain Singh Chaura belongs from Gurdaspur, it is 75 km away from Amritsar district.

It has been revealed that Narain Singh has a criminal record and has possibilities of connection from Khalistani Groups. Investigations are underway and Narain Singh Chaura is now in police custody.
