The story of Fodar village located in Govardhan tehsil of Mathura district in Uttar Pradesh, along with nearly 10 surrounding villages, today fills every eye with tears and every heart with hope. Imagine that farmer whose thousands of bighas of land had remained submerged in rainwater for the last 3 years. Where once the fragrance of crops used to spread, today rotten water and silence had taken over.
This silence had become so deep that many villagers like farmer Gangadan Ji started thinking about suicide out of helplessness. Leaders used to come, give false assurances, and leave, but on the ground the water remained exactly where it was. In such dark times, when promises of the government system proved hollow, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj emerged as a “Messiah” and “Deenanath” for these villagers.
Scene of Destruction: When Thousands of Bighas of Land Became Barren
The problem of Fodar village and areas like Nagla Ajit was not only waterlogging, but a question of existence for thousands of families. According to villagers, due to the rainwater drainage route remaining blocked for the last 3 years, about 1000 bighas of land had become barren. Farmers neither had jobs nor any means to grow crops. The worry of raising children at home had mentally broken the farmers. People had started talking about leaving farming or becoming ascetics.
Within Only 5 Days of the Application, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj Sent Relief
When all roads appeared closed from every side, then the village panchayat submitted an application in the court of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj. The speed of help was no less than a miracle — within only 5 days of giving the application, villagers received the message that their prayer had been accepted. Sant Ji, without any political selfishness, selflessly ordered relief material worth crores of rupees to be sent.
Details of Relief Material (Annpurna Muhim)
The list of materials sent for Fodar village and Nagla Ajit under the “Annpurna Muhim” being run by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj is given below:

Special Note:
According to the orders of Sant Ji, the panchayat did not have to buy even a single nail from outside. The entire material has been provided permanently and in branded quality (Kirloskar and Crompton).
Spirit of Sevadars and the Commitment of Sant Ji’s Service
When the long convoy of sevadars reached the village, the scene appeared like a festival. Disciples of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj clearly stated that Maharaj Ji Himself belongs to a farmer family, therefore He understands the pain of farmers very well. Maharaj Ji’s order is strict: “No show-off, work must happen on the ground.”
Sevadars also handed a letter to villagers, in which a commitment was made that if water was not removed through this material, then the trust would not provide further help. Its purpose was to ensure that villagers work together and remove water as quickly as possible so that sowing of the Rabi crop can happen on time. Maharaj Ji has arranged drone recording of the village condition and has instructed another video to be made after crops flourish, so that the world can see how donation money is being properly used.
A New Crop of Hope Became Visible Afterwards
Today the smile visible on the faces of farmers of Fodar village is proof of the grace of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj. Farmer district presidents and other public representatives have given Maharaj Ji the “status of God.” Villagers say that the one who helps during trouble and becomes the means of producing food for us is the real God. As a mark of respect, the entire panchayat presented Maharaj Ji with a “pagdi,” considered the pride and honor of farmers.
This initiative of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj proves that service to humanity does not require power or elections, but a sensitive heart. Where many big storytellers swallow crores of rupees in donations, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj is using those donations through “Annpurna Muhim” for social upliftment, education, medical help, and farmer welfare.
Today not only pipes have been laid in the fields of Fodar village, but the broken trust of thousands of farmers has also been restored again. This philanthropic work of Maharaj Ji has pulled thousands of lives back from the edge of suicide. Truly, “Only that person truly lives who becomes useful to others.”
